The place to add it would be IMHO in the documentation of the faac codec or
or the -profile option. Unfortunately neither of these exist at this time.
So I just do not know where I could put it; do you have any suggestion?

On the other hand, please note that the patch in its current state
automatically adds relevant lines in the -h help message:
