Is it on purpose? What is the criterion to show something in the status
report or not?

When I build ffmpeg or similar programs with a lot of optional features
(mplayer is one), I try to enable as much features as I can, even if I do
not know I need them yet, so I do not have to rebuild when I learn a new
cool feature on the mailing-lists. I found the status report very practical
do to so. But if it is incomplete, I will have to find something else.
