[FFmpeg-devel] LGPL AC3 decoder

Hi,
Sorry I could not get it correctly.
If I understand it right, the current AC3 decoding support in libavcodec (liba52 or otherwise) is licensed under GPL. And when E-AC3 support is made available in libavcodec, it would be licensed under LGPL and it would also support AC3 decoding (under LGPL license).
Is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

Warm regards,
Thulasidhar J.K?

No, it is GPL. The precondition to making it LGPL is getting the E-AC3
decoder merged.
