[Ffmpeg-devel] random number generator

Hi,

Whatever happened with the Marsenne Twister random number generator that
was going to go into libavutil?  One of the criteria for getting the
LGPL AC3 decoder merged was to split that part out for use by the rest
of FFmpeg.  I also found in the ML archive where someone had proposed a
better version than what's in the ac3 decoder, but it seems nothing ever
happened with it.

The Marsenne Twister C implementation from Makoto Matsumoto and Takuji
Nishimura is released under a BSD license, so it should be okay for use
with all of FFmpeg, correct?
