Good suggestion. I did the test: the resulting files are exactly identical
in all cases. I must confess that I used cmp and nod md5sup, though.

For the test with stream copy, yes, once again the resulting files are
identical.

I did not know there were regression tests. I just tried.
They do not pas, but they do not pass with the original either. I compared
the full output of the tests, and they differ only by numeric values
(mainly, the build time and pointers in av_log). In particular, they both
fail exactly the same way.
Are there other tests you would like me to run?
