I have the feeling that your rv34_gen_vlc and the build_codes from Mans'
zlib decoder patch do the same thing or at least almost.
Could you maybe check if I am right and if so maybe create a global
function that can be used by both of you?
If I remember correctly possibly intrax8 could profit from that as well
by reducing the number/sizes of some tables, but I didn't check
properly.
