clip is 11.9 seconds long with a 'start time' of 1.04.

I particularly notice this when trying kdenlive with the latest ffmpeg
library.  AVCHD files now seem to work, but finding the last frame for
a thumbnail takes a loooooong time, and seeking backwards sometimes
fails.
