Because they're context sensitive, they always refer to the *next*
file, since they fill the context that it is passed to the
next input/output encountered on the command line.

BTW for some reason which I don't want to discover now the previous
command worked just fine, anyway for consistency is good to provide
commands which respect the usual and recommended syntax.
