Well, alternatively you could say Intel (and I think AMD as well) still
consider their CPUs still as 16 bit CPUs, which for x86 is a justified
position ;-)
Now Microsoft have no such excuse given they also use that DWORD stuff for 32
bit even on IA-64 windows...
