Question: I thought that mp4 and mov were essentially the same (where  
mp4 is the standard, while mov is more of an apple creature). As a  
rule of thumb, is there any situation where mov might be preferred  
over mp4? (And by the way, shouldn't m4v be reserved for a elementary  
video stream (no audio)?)
