my question pretty much was why iam being attacked now while thouse who
attack clearly did not consider it a good idea to ever point out the
issues in a polite way before.

I mean yeah i know people dont tell me because then i would have fixed
it and its so much nicer to have something to whine about.

yes, AVFrac deprecation was also something that was years in the past,
noone realized that it couldnt be replaced easily until years later and
this sub-therad was about easy to replace things, AVFrac certainly is
not. But yes deprecating it failed, we undid it, should i pick a 
random fixed bug and whine about it too ?
