IOW, as an intermediate solution, I'd agree to use PIX_FMT_ACCEL_CODEC 
formats but only for ::get_format() purposes. Codecs would then have to 
use some other thing expressive enough. e.g. the xvmc_acceleration or its 
hwaccel_id replacement.
