[FFmpeg-devel] VC-1 interlaced

Hello everybody,

I am new to this mailing list (I come from Germany).

I have read about plans to bring "VC-1 interlaced" support to the FFMPEG VC-1 codec (as part of 2009 Summer of Code projects).

I am interested to know if there is already code available (even unstable or testwise) for a new libavcodec/ffvc1 codec.

It is often mentioned that VC-1 encoding refers to additional content of Blue Ray discs. In fact I have found also "main content" in VC-1 interlaced (-> BD Three Kingdoms: Resurrection of the Dragon China 2008 ).

The latest SVN of FFMPEG is not able to play this film (after bringing the m2ts-File to harddisk).

I would be happy to compile testwise a new libavcodec-version and link it to mplayer to see if it works then.

Regards, Detlef
