Depending on your country you are not allowed to waive part of your 
owner rights on your production, and assigning the copyright to someone 
else by just mentionning so is not enough.

For example in France, we don't use "copyrights" but instead "droit 
d'auteur", which comprises patrimonial rights (to sell, licence, ...) 
which are cessible, and moral rights (respect, retractation...) which 
are unalienable and untransferable.
