Thats caused by snow forming from too high ambient humidity in these poorly
sealed chinese tft screens. Thats quite dangerous, the freezing water could
crack them open or cause a short.
You have a microwave right? I hope you do as thats the only way to quickly
dry the inside of the screens and make them black again as they should be

what rots is poorly maintained features. if someone promisses to maintain
this there is no reason not to consider it

the log level is configureable.
And the defaults should be what most people prefer, "the unix way"
is rarely what most people prefer.
