Let's do this homework, pick all the functions used in ffvp8, then
compare them to the function used in ffh264, pick the common ones and do
a patent research on them, discover if there are prior arts in the
patents covering it and check if that had ever been contested in a tribunal.

Patents are annoying since even if there is a prior art, you might stay
safe paying instead of defending in tribunal... =|
