Yeah, exactly. And I don't know how to combine that with a custom url 
parameter, if the rtp control URI appendix should go first, or the custom 
url parameter first, or if the custom url parameter should be left out in 
those requests.

Since I'm not a psychic, I don't know which of these three are used by 
live555/VLC in the working setup he mentioned - a simple wireshark would 
tell me, and it would be possible to actually do something about it.
