wrong, the first frame can have a non zero PTS and is stored in the
header

wrong, wrong and more wrong
1. try cbr audio in avi
2. try mpeg4 with b frames in avi
3. be unlucky and realize that some software generates variable fps avis.
4. subtitles ;)
