I reverted the patch and it didn't solve the problem.  My bisection 
process didn't work as planned.
I am seeing something in the commits just prior that may be the issue, 
has to do with matroska.
Pretty much all of my videos are in mkv format, so I'll work my way back 
to that commit.  That could
also explain why I'm seeing the problem, but Michael was not.
