iam pretty sure a talented listener can notice a 1% change in relative
volume.
also when your input is L+S, c*(R-S) and you convert that to mono and
compensate balance you turn relative volume error into absolute
volume and this will be very noticeable because its a sound vs
silence thing

libswresample should be used for the rematrixing, it already supports
doing this in int16 and float
also optimizations will be added to libswresample
