[FFmpeg-devel] FYI, noticeable decoding performance degradation

Hi,

Please disregard if you are already aware of the drop in decoding speed.

I've pulled recent changes on master yesterday up to and including 
bb4e1b4cf910af0de2bc884c75544603c40010cc.

ffplay build from a few days ago could decode a short (11 seconds, 640 
kb/s) AC3 file without problems on 800MHz PPC iMac, but yesterdays build 
stutters throughout playback.

Please let me know if I need to provide additional info.
