Thanks for comments.
I made this patch for my purposes so I had no reason to discuss it.:)
Anyway, I wasn't aware of libquvi functionality and it seems to duplicate
functionality.

I have the same concerns about it - it will require maintanance and
probably make some problems to keep old version working in the future.
I don't insist on merging it. I created and shared it and it's up to you
now.

Is anyone aware how often changes may need to be applied? I know it is
silly question, but projects like VLC seems to support this kind of stuff
for long, so maybe someone is familiar with this topic.

BTW, I wanted to test that libquvi and compilation is broken on debian
6.0.7. There is version 0.2.0-1.1 - no quvi_media_t in header. This kind of
situations put some sense on patches like this one.
