Well, at the very least, the original format should be able to store the
corresponding side data (i.e., flv should be able to support flv size
changes). Beyond that, this is a limitation of the world, it is not ffmpeg's
fault.

I would say it counts: FFmpeg is the only thing that can read it, but at
least, it is obvious at first glance. In other words, if are ok with a file
that can only be read by FFmpeg, you can afford to use nut, and therefore
avoid using an ugly hack.
