They are the users you deal with, they are in no way the only users of
FFmpeg. FFmpeg is for all its users, not just the small subset you are
interested in.

Surely you can realize that people may be interested in knowing that their
videos will not play on some low-end players and how to repair them, even if
you do not have to use these low-end players yourself.

And quality hardware, and quality software. Lucky them.

But you do not have to be a developer to be annoyed by a video stuttering on
an old CPU.
