Yes of course and never implied otherwise... Just said I have no need of the warnings and users I deal with don't either. They are
busy doing a show and probably not even at a computer but controlling show external device.

I am not trying to dictate how someone should use ffmpeg. If some wants to analyze their videos there are simple tools to do this.

Low end players or low end computers ??

again lots of tools already to analyze if thats what they want... And they don't need to be burdoned by it when doing a live show...

I always develop on a low end computer compared to the standards of the day. Keeps me in touch with reality. I have a very fast
machine right next to me that I only use for additional testing but not developement.

Actually a broad range... But most doing live video entertainment, laser shows, etc, are not going to be using a half ass machine
that might crap out during the middle of a show.

Thats right and like I said I use a slower machine for dev to keep an eye on things... Again people doing live entertainment are
pretty much not going to use a junk computer.

Not at all...

I get the impression that you think everyone sits around with some command line player displaying warnings while the video plays in
another window.

Its not like that all for me and users... Overlays, thumbnails, Multiple videos to multiple screens, controlled from who knows
where.
