right, please dont think because i'm one of the few voices speaking up 
that i make any policy around here.

mostly we discuss policy on the mailing list, so if you dont see any
discussions its because we are all too busy to discuss. some of us are
also on vacation or just coming back from the conference, so expect
some delays as well.

at any rate, maybe to start off working on a solution for the lgpl/gpl
compatability with commercial software, does anyone feel like creating a
bugreport , so this issue can be tracked and commented on? 

i'll get around to filing a bug report if you do not wish to. but i'm
hoping someone wants to expand on points raised here to make a more
convincing bug report.

while commercial ffmpeg is not a high priority for me, it is a high
priority for me to encourage all discussion and at least document
concerns by our users so devs can address them.
