It was committed without review from the ffmpeg team, and raised
objections from at least 4 persons in the next minutes. As a result, it
was reverted so we could take more time to think about it. Most of the
authors were unknown, and the other rage quitted. It was done in order to
prevent the flame to heat up.

I know my English is bad and maybe too direct (and it was done in a hurry
in order to calm down angry spirits that left), so the original wording is
currently reworked by Lydia (thank you) and a proper review will be done.
