ffmpeg -hwaccel vaapi -vaapi_device /dev/dri/renderD128
  -hwaccel_output_format vaapi -i input.264 -vf "rotation_vaapi=deg=90"
  -c:v h264_vaapi output.h264

The rotation is in degrees , not direction. And using the actual degrees 
instead of magic numbers makes it more obvious for the user.
