I think commercial interests use the software either on-site (i.e.
no-redistribution) or use the CLI to avoid GPL issues and if not,
maybe they would fund an LGPL h.264 encoder as it's not exactly a
trivial pursuit. For personal use, I don't think LGPL vs GPL is much
of an issue unless writing software that is somehow GPL-incompatible.
