 Afaict, this is a bug in your libass installation (pkgconfig only reports
 -lass as requirements, but fontconfig and freetype are obviously also
 needed), as a workaround try --extra-ldflags='-lfontconfig -lfribidi
 -lfreetype' or --extra-ldflags='-lfontconfig -lfreetype'
