Comment:

 Yes, I am sorry, I misread the original description, this is not a
 duplicate of ticket #332.

 For regression tests, it is important that the following configure line
 does not fail:
 {{{
 ./configure --enable-filter=a_filter_that_does_not_exist
 }}}
 I would therefore object to a patch that changes the behaviour in this
 regard.
