 What happens if you use avformat_seek_file() instead? Also are you sure
 that your files start with timestamp 0?

 Today I added an option to ffprobe which may help to test this, try this
 command and inspect the output:
 {{{
 ffprobe IN.mp3 -read_intervals "%2,0%2" -of compact -show_packets
 }}}
