 I installed avid dv codec again (probably some other version) and
 quicktime
 decodes attached "aviddv_dv50_ntsc_progressive_24bpp.mov" file as 720x576,
 so I belive that this file may be somewhat broken (due to buggy in old
 avid dv encoder)?

 see also "aviddv_dv50_ntsc_progressive_24bpp.png" - this is how quicktime
 with avid dv codec decodes "aviddv_dv50_ntsc_progressive_24bpp.mov" file.

 (I also attached new samples generated with avid dv codec)
