No input streams but output needs an input stream

I can play the input file without issues with Totem. If a player can play
it, ffmpeg should be able to decode it.
And whatever the problem is, "No input streams" is clearly bogus.
P.S. I would gladly attach the file but it's 100+ MB in size and it would
take ages to upload.
