 I can provide some complementary data on how easily the current default
 queue size is hit.

 On running {{{ffmpeg -i path/to/file.m4a -filter_complex
 ebur128=peak=true:dualmono=true -f null /dev/null}}} on a large music
 catalog of M4A files sourced from various online music stores, we see
 around '''±15%''' of processes failing with a {{{Too many packets buffered
 for output stream}}} error.
