Thanks! This work-around works for me, except I use moov/meta (instead of
your moov/udta):

ffmpeg -i source.mov converted.mp4
mp4extract moov/meta source.mov source-metadata
mp4edit --insert moov:source-metadata converted.mp4 converted-withmeta.mp4
