 The 29GB, 22GB memory usage suggest a memory leak - but it should be
 reproducible using testsrc2.

 I repeated the earlier testsrc2 test at 1920x1080 and have no issues. I
 set end signal with -t 00:20:00 and encode completes gracefully

 I repeated with a retail BD for 20min limited by -t 00:20:00, same - no
 problems. All tests used pp=linblenddeint. Windows x64

 Memory usage ok (fluctuates ~500-520MB for 1920x1080) and encoding fps
 stays about the same in all tests

 If you didn't mention the memory usage, I would suggest checking temps,
 looking at CPU throttling next.

 When debugging, I suggest using a faster encoding preset such as -preset:v
 superfast. You will encode and get feedback faster
