 I regularly do ABX tests and find that my converted videos do not suffer
 from any quality loss.

 But what would you recommend? Should every user of ffmpeg do a "Bachelor
 of Color Management" before he can start using it to convert videos?

 You maybe know that in Germany, there is a right to do "Private copying",
 we even pay taxes for this, see

 I just want to be able to execute this right.

 I think it would be much better and in the spirit of the idea of an open,
 free application if you'd empower ''everybody'', also the average Joe, to
 use ffmpeg and to get the best possible outcome with minimal knowledge of
 color spaces.
