 The "Incompatible pixel format" warning/error message is there only if you
 specify "-pix_fmt yuvj420p" on the command line.

 There really should also be a warning/error message for the automatic
 switch from yuvj420p to yuv420p, if it's going to result in a pixel
 brightness being damaged.
