 I sometimes have files from unknown source with incorrect filetype. Some
 mediaplayer have problems if the filetype is incorrect.

 I would request an option to extract all content from an unknown source
 file, check/repair them and merge them together to a File. With this
 option I wish to have the option to auto add a filetype to the output
 name.

 In the best case. ffmpeg only add the filetype.
 In the worsest case ffmpeg repair several things and show a result of this
 repairs (container, audio, video, subtitle, timing, etc.)
