 Were there any updates on this? That other sample is gone, but DV video is
 still there, but it uses 4:1:1 subsampling, which is kinda interesting...

 Anyway, I agree this cannot be fixed simply. DVDs can have both hard
 telecines and progressive (soft telecine) and even native interlaced
 content. So it is kinda complicates this crazy thing. And the flags may be
 not set correctly.
