 Thanks for that clarification Gyan.

 Are there any alternatives you can think of for making a sequence of media
 that runs in realtime on the whole?  Any way to `-re` the filter graph?  I
 suppose I could sequence the media in one FFmpeg process and pipe to
 another with `-re -i -`, but I'm wondering if there is a better way,
 keeping everything all inside one process.
