Comment:

 The HLS key generation was dependant on compiled in external libraries,
 such as gcrypt or openssl, and that caused the issue if these were not
 compiled with ffmpeg. This requirement got relaxed recently in commit
 36f4e6f8f4c14b3a571815c55d213d095b54df6f.
