 As the question of behavior under Intel x64 was raised, today I tested
 playing [https://stvinmotion.com/visualove/Samoan_20_Ring_Into.zip
 Samoan_20_Ring_Into] on my MacBookAir8,2 with an Intel Core i5 chip under
 macOS Catalina 10.15.7.

 Playback using FFplay 6.0 exhibited the same horizontal lines seen on my
 MacBookPro18,2 with the M1 chip.

 VLC 3.0.18 plays fine, without the lines shown by FFplay. Unlike playback
 on my MacBookPro18,2 I was able to seek using the slider without VLC
 crashing.
