sorry if i was wrong there. i, unfortunately, never got it to work with 
image sequences that e.g. started at #35.
would you mind telling me how this was supposed to work in builds before 
the two paramters you mention were introduced?
glad to hear this is option exists now. will try a newer ffmpeg version 
to implement into our pipeline.
