the ordianry user does not compile *any* software from
source and so it is ridiculous at all permanently
answer on a *user list* "this is not the recent version"
in this cases it would often be better you do not answer
at all and wait someone with the intention to help solving
a problem which *often may not be caused* by not using
the latest snapshot instead inistit on the snapshot and
nothing else

because it was *very often* to old to compile
a renect ffmpeg with it?

no i mean that it was *often* not possible to get
a recent ffmpeg working without fight against the
dependency chain at all
