[FFmpeg-user] Installing on Ubuntu Error: libx264 not found

Well, as it says, the x264 development files are missing. Did you compile
x264 first? do you need the latest x264 or just the latest ffmpeg? If the
latter then simply

apt-get install libx264-dev

Then compile ffmpeg from source.
