AFAIK, Recordings from TV have an ongoing timer running. Say you record from 9:00 AM till 10:00 AM, start could be somewhere around well 9*60*60 =  32400. But if the broadcaster started at 07:00 it could be 2*60*60 = 7200.
It mostly depends on when broadcasters 'starts'  counting.
