Hi Carl

Thanks for the informative answer!. Where can I find some examples of RV
5.0 encoding w ffmpeg?

What I'm trying to do is stream video to some linux touchpads from y2k
(only 13yrs ago! boy how time flies) which had Realplayer 7 (or 8 I dont
remember) as part of its embedded Linux 2.4 OS.

I do remember that its embedded RealPlayer gave decent near-fullscreen
performance on the slow 400Mhz Transmeta Crusoe 4200 CPU, but all other
codecs really sucked on that hardware.
