Since you mention it:

Please understand that FFmpeg is a software project 
providing source code (only source code), no 
"products" (in case you understand). We do provide 
links to (completely) independent people who 
compile FFmpeg and provide binaries for download.
But if in doubt (ie if you report a problem with 
a binary download that I cannot reproduce with a 
self-compiled version here), you will have to 
report your problem to the people who provide the 
binaries or compile yourself.

Independent from the above: I provided both a link 
to an explanation of the situation and a link to 
our download page in my initial answer.
I honestly don't know what I could have done 
differently...
